I do love the simple things. That might make me boring, or plain, or mediocre, but that's okay too. So I thought, for posterity if nothing else, I would make a list of "a few of my favorite things". :)
1. Thunderstorms
2. Comfort foods
3. A mystery novel, light blanket, and a cup of cocoa
4. Snuggling
5. Hot bubble baths in candlelight
6. Planning a hope chest for my daughter
7. Surprise dinners from my husband
8. Good morning hugs from my daughter
9. Napping in my recliner on a cloudy day
10. My doggies
11. Snow
12. Thanksgiving and Christmas-time
13. Growing old with the love of my life
14. Babies
15. A comfy bed with soft sheets washed in vanilla lavender fabric softener
16. Scented candles
17. Watching my favorite shows uninterrupted
18. Browsing WalMart and leaving without buying anything
19. Not smoking
20. Days without phone calls
21. Freshly vacuumed rugs
22. Pastor's sermons
23. Fuzzy socks
24. Cozy pajamas, big sweatshirts and fat pants
25. Sleeping in with hubby, waking up without the alarm clock
26. Pain-free days
27. When my husband tells me I'm beautiful
28. Watching my daughter grow into a lovely, strong young woman
29. Talking with God
30. Flowers
31. Listening to elderly people tell stories
32. My wedding rings
33. Doing little things to make people happy
Ok, I feel better now. It's always nice to have those warm and fuzzy things down to review from time to time. I hope you all have a list of simple things that make you happy, too. Sure does make life enjoyable when everything else seems to be going to hell in a handbasket. Any day, Lord. Any day.

That is so cool. I am definitely going to make me one of those. It in no way makes you boring or mediocre. It makes you appreciative, thankful and very insightful. Those are all things that can be enjoyed without money, power or corruption. I love it. God Bless.
